First One Hundred Days

Time Magazine said this:
Only 6% into his 1,461-day term, Obama has already signed a $700 billion stimulus bill, tried to bail out Detroit, lifted a ban on stem cell research, planned a withdrawal from Iraq, reached out to Cuba and authorized the release of Bush-era torture memos. Oh, and he got a dog.
But let's examine more closely what this 100 days has brought this country:

In just 100 days, Barack Obama (aka Barry Soetero) has moved along the most intrusive federal overreach in this country’s history, all funded with money we simply do not have. He has spent well over $564 billion in 100 days.

He has presided over takeover of huge corporations via federal ownership of corporate stock courtesy of the American Taxpayer and his administration has put enormous pressure on banks to accept TARP money and not allowed some of them to pay it back. That of course is so the government can continue to exercise control over their business. Obama and his Congressional cohorts have used the American taxpayer like their personal ATM and have put the printing presses on full tilt to print money, as a result of monetizing our enormous debt. Heaven knows the inflation this country will see, and in fact we are already seeing it.

Obama has moved America from a traditional model of entrepreneurship and private initiative to the modern European model of more government regulation and control.

Obama campaigned on a pledge to end earmarks and bring about Change, yet he signed an appropriations bill loaded with 8,000 earmarks - and wasn't even lambasted for that (except by the opposition).

He has declared a pull out of troops from Iraq - but has expanded the war to Afghanistan, and it is likely we will become involved in Pakistan.

Obama allowed two major power grabs in government.
The Federal Reserve and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) have been allowed enormous unsupervised and undisclosed spending; spending the equivalent of the entire federal budget for 2007.

Under Obama's watch, his Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ruled that greenhouse gases pose a threat to public health; a decision which opens the door to wholesale regulation of American life by government, and will no doubt be the precursor to an out-of-control EPA which will force Congress to pass trillions of dollars in energy taxes in the form of cap-and-trade legislation. (Taxing everything from the exhaust from your car to the gas produced by cows on farms)

Let's not forget Obama's global apology tour, in which he labeled America as "arrogant, dismissive and derisive" in front of foreign audiences, and in the process he also got to bow down to a Saudi King. He has shaken hands and made friends with tyrants and murderers.

He has been an utter failure in even an attempt at changing Washington politics - it's more of the same, and in fact his appointees have had enormous problems with tax fraud and other scandals, but appointments are pretty much going forward despite questionable actions by Obama appointees. We have a tax cheat heading the Treasury Department, need I say more. On the note of working in a bi-partisan manner - well, that's not happening, this administration is governing so far Left that bi-partisanship is untenable.

But let's also examine the Executive orders so far enacted by his pen stroke. There have been 19.

Executive Order 13489 Obama ordered government agencies to examine Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests with an eye to release documents -- overturning Bush administration directives which hindered disclosure of information. "For a long time now there's been too much secrecy in this city," Obama said. "Starting today, every agency and department should know that this administration stands on the side not of those who seek to withhold information, but those who seek to make it known." This is particularly funny since Obama has so far refused to show his own documents regarding his birth and college admission. We have not yet seen
• A certified copy of his original, signed “vault” birth certificate.
• Certified copies of his reissued and sealed birth certificates in the names Barack Hussein Obama, Barry Soetoro, Barry Obama, Barack Dunham and Barry Dunham.
• A certified copy of his Certification of Citizenship.
• A certified copy of his Oath of Allegiance taken upon age of maturity.
• Certified copies of his admission forms for Occidental College,Columbia University and Harvard Law School.
• Certified copies of any legal documents changing his name.

So much for transparency - it's good to apply that to the rest of us - just not Barry Soetoro. He continues to spend millions to fight lawsuits which are merely asking him to prove his Constitutional eligibility to be President of the US. (Mock this as you like - but ask yourself why he just doesn't prove his eligibility and put the whole issue to rest - it is very much still alive despite co-opted judges and Obama administration roadblocks)

Then there were a slew of new Offices and Councils set up - further expanding government and opening up job slots for the many Obama campaigners. More bureaucracy. Now there's change we can believe in.

Executive Order 13499 Establishment of the National Economic Council
Executive Order 13500 Establishment of the Domestic Policy Council
Executive Order 13501 Establishing the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board
Executive Order 13503 Establishment of the White House Office of Urban Affairs
Executive Order 13506 Establishing a White House Council on Women and Girls
Executive Order 13507 Establishment of the White House Office of Health Reform

He signed Executive Order 13492 to close GITMO - but still hasn't found a suitable place to put the remaining detainees since no other country has stepped forward to take them. Torture is out - Executive Order 13491 Ensuring Lawful Interrogation and Executive Order 13493 Review of Detention Policy Options were signed.

Then there were a bunch of pro-labor EO's - of course as payback for the unions that helped elect him.
Executive Order 13494
Economy in Government Contracts
Executive Order 13495 Nondisplacement of Qualified Workers Under Service Contracts
Executive Order 13496 Notification of Employee Rights Under Federal Labor Laws
Executive Order 13502 Use of Project Labor Agreements for Federal Construction Projects

According to one website: "The orders relate to the required notification to employees about labor rights; non-displacement of workers due to a prior employer's loss of a government contract; the allocation of costs related to persuading employees to exercise or not to exercise their right to organize or bargain collectively; and project labor agreements."

Well you can read the rest on stem cell research and such. This was just highlights. It's amazing though what "the One" can do with the stroke of a pen. Executive Orders seem sort of dictatorial - but hey - that's just me.

Let's not forget also how opposition is being targeted as "national security threats" - including veterans returning home from military service. That was a nice touch from his Department of Homeland security.

Yeah...Mr. Obama has done much in 100 days - with a $3.5 trillion dollar budget in the wings with unprecedented deficits and ginormous American debt.

Only 1,361 days more to go.

Obama Worship

"The Truth" by Michael D'Antuono

Artist Michael D'Antuono's painting "The Truth", features Barack Obama with his arms outstretched and wearing a crown of thorns upon his head. This piece of "artwork" was supposed to be unveiled on April 29 at NYC's Union Square Park to commemorate Obama's 100th day in office. That unveiling has been cancelled due to public outrage.

The title of the piece, "The Truth," suggests a biblical theme, as Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." D'Antuono insists that the painting was purely a political piece. "The religious reference was used metaphorically and not to insult anyone's religious beliefs. If that is the effect that my art has had on anyone, I am truly sorry," says D'Antuono.

In my opinion, D'Antuono, and others, need to get over this Obama worship. Surely, people have to know that Obama puts his pants on one leg at a time like the rest of us. I mean honestly, there really is no comparison here: Even Jesus did a better job speaking in public to the masses...he did not need a teleprompter. Insofar as this mural was claimed a "political piece", there seems to be enough religious reference in there to make that claim pretty bogus. If anything, D'Antuono certainly has gotten his artwork into the public eye. Maybe that was his intent.

Obama worship is nothing new, nor is the homage people wish to pay to "the leader". There certainly have been other Obama murals painted in other cities. (Houston, Newark, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, and more). Some have already been defaced (Seattle, Atlanta).

Generally speaking, when you start seeing murals of the leader on billboards, or on the sides of buildings, it is way past the time to have left the country. Nothing screams Third World like murals of political "leaders" on buildings and generally everywhere you look. It also serves as a not so subtle kind of brainwashing, and a reminder that "the leader" is always watching you.

But just think, somewhere in this country there is some crazed Obama fanatic designing the Third World Mount Rushmore complete with the heads of Obama, Castro, Chavez, and Kim Jung Il. Of course Castro, Chavez, and Kim Jung Il have already been immortalized in mural painting from their own adoring public - that is of course the people who have not been locked up in prison and tortured.

Quite frankly the whole Obama Messiah thing is quite ridiculous and perhaps a bit of a red flag too (pardon the pun).

Swine Flu - Don't Panic

Words from the good Doctor....

"Never let a serious crisis go to waste" - White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel

I wonder what the White House and Department of Homeland Security have up their sleeves for us - especially as they aren't closing borders to stop the spread of this virus.

"Swine Flu Was Cultured In A Laboratory", Dr. John Carlo, Dallas Co. Medical Director says.

The virus is an intercontinental mix of never-before-seen human, avian and pig viruses, and top globalists stand to benefit from Tamiflu stockpiling

Roche Pharmaceuticals = Tamiflu = $$$

OK, now I get the picture.

End The Fed Rally - Saturday 04-25-09 - In NYC

Campaign For Liberty organized this "End the Fed" rally that began on 33 Liberty Street, in front of the Federal Reserve building and Chase Bank. The protest started in the morning and people peacefully marched around the building amidst several Federal Reserve police while New York City Police also looked on. The purpose of the rally was to call attention to HR1207 - Audit the Federal Reserve legislation currently being considered by Congress, and also calling for an End to the Federal Reserve which has provided this country with fiat money based on credit rather than sound money based on a tangible commodity such as gold, and has also precipitated the bubbles we have seen in this economy. They are the primary reason why we are in a financial mess. Read more here.

Later the rally participants spread out and handed out leaflets and other information to passersby while marching up Broadway to City Hall. The event later drew a crowd of about 300 people who stood to listen several speakers some of which were; Leaders of Campaign For Liberty, Becky Ackers, Murray Sabrin (NJ Rep Congressional candidate), Joseph DioGuardi (former NY Congresssman) and the Keynote was delivered by Peter Schiff of EuroPac.

Here are my photos from the event

Tax Rallies This Weekend - End The Fed And Woodbury Tea Party

End The Fed Rallies are happening at every Federal Reserve office across the nation tomorrow - (Here is a map and addresses and other contact info) Closer to CT one will be in Boston at 600 Atlantic Avenue and the other in New York City at the NYC Federal Reserve building at 33 Liberty Street. Rallies start in the morning and likely to go all day.

For April 25th NYC Rally:
11:00AM - Assemble at the New York Federal Reserve building (33 Liberty St.)
March up Broadway

2:00PM - Arrive at City Hall Park
Guest Speakers and Keynote by Peter Schiff

Peter Schiff will deliver the keynote address to the NYC Campaign for Liberty's "End The Fed" Rally at City Hall Park, Manhattan. For years, Peter Schiff has consistently warned that the policies of the Federal Reserve would drive this country toward a monumental collapse. He also warned that the Fed would respond to the crisis by doubling down on previous mistakes. That day has arrived, and people across the country are trying to stop it.

Much attention has been focused on recent Tax Day Tea Parties. Those events showcased pent up frustration with runaway government, but also revealed some political partisanship that has been exploited by pro-regime pundits. This "End The Fed" rally, however, has a clear and non-partisan goal: pass HR 1207. This bill, backed by more than 65 Congressman and introduced by Representative Ron Paul, would for the first time give Congress greater audit authority over the Federal Reserve and increase transparency at the central bank. Organizers of the rally believe that the more Americans understand about the Federal Reserve System, such as how its continual expansion of the money supply robs savers of their wealth, the more they will demand a return to real money.
The End the Fed group (a growing movement of citizens concerned with the country’s fiscal policies) will gather in over 39 cities nationwide at each Federal Reserve location demanding their Congress to pass H.R. 1207 - the Federal Reserve Transparency Act and H.R. 833 - Repeal the Federal Reserve Act. Nationwide rallies planned for Saturday, April 25th are a follow up to the first rallies held on November 22, 2008 at Federal Reserve Banks across the nation.
On the End the Fed website you can see what has happened since the "End The Fed" rallies began on November 22, 2008

There is legislation before Congress that would End the Fed by repealing the Federal Reserve Act and restoring the power to issue money to the People via their elected Congress.

Woodbury Tea Party

Sat, April 25, 2009 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Location: Woodbury, CT – the junction of routes 6 and 64, approximately 3 miles from Lake Quassapaug. Parking is available in many lots in the immediate vicinity. Wachovia Bank is across the street, up the street, less than a 1000 feet is a commercial condominium complex with adequate parking. There will be speakers, and tea party dollars for shopping at the local stores.

Then on April 27th - the End The Fed Rallies will be followed by an effort to Support HR1207 (audit the Fed) which has been dubbed "Melt the Switchboard" It's an effort for citizens to contact their representatives in Congress and Ask them to support HR1207Audit the Federal Reserve

Project Appleseed 04-18-09

Project Appleseed, brought to you by the Revolutionary War Veterans Association (RWVA) is designed to take you from being a simple rifle owner to being a true rifleman. All throughout American history, the rifleman has been defined as a marksman capable of hitting a man-sized target from 500 yards away — no ifs, ands or buts about it. This 500-yard range is traditionally known as "the rifleman's quarter-mile;" a rifleman can hit just about any target he can see. This skill was particularly evident in the birth of our country, and was the difference in winning the Revolutionary War.
This past Saturday (April 18) Project Appleseed honored the Battle at Lexington - The Shot Heard 'Round The World - by hosting a multi-state shoot, and the largest simultaneous marksmanship event on the planet. It was pretty interesting and awe-inspiring. There were at least 35-40 people who attended the day long shoot and weekend event at the Hartford Gun Club in East Granby, CT. They were joined by 50 other events across 28 states. The simultaneous shoot of 13 rounds were fired at 4:00PM EST to honor the 13 colonies and the names of those colonists killed at Lexington Green were read aloud.

Here are my photos from the recent Appleseed Project rifle shoot at the Hartford Gun Club commemorating the battle of Lexington.

Here (below) is a video of the simultaneous shoot of 13 rounds that were fired at 4:00PM EST
. The video starts with a preparation period, and then 1:50 into the video begins the rounds dedicated to every colonist that was killed at Lexington Green. Shots were fired as names were read aloud.

The Appleseed Project, which is volunteer Americans teaching other Americans to shoot, along with some American history, is part of the non-profit Revolutionary War Veterans Association. Their goal is to make every American aware of the sacrifices of the Founding Generation, so that the ideals and spirit of the American Revolution will not die out. Project Appleseed was developed three years ago to promote knowledge of the Revolutionary War to modern Americans and it was named after American Folk hero Johnny Appleseed, who traveled the land planting seeds - not for himself - but so future generations of Americans could enjoy apples. In similar manner, volunteer instructors of Project Appleseed donate their time to travel the country and teach traditional rifle shooting skills along with the history and heritage that are companion and originators to those skills.

Rifle marksmanship skills have been important in our nation's history, and unfortunately like many traditions many of those skills are dying out. Americans are flocking to Appleseed's family friendly program, as their message is getting out. The program is open to everyone. People with physical challenges are welcomed and assisted. Women, students and Military personnel shoot for free. Program costs otherwise are minimal, and you learn a ton of stuff.

Aside from the Lexington Commemoration event, there are many future events planned (at least 73 through June 21). Closest to CT are in New York and Vermont scheduled for May and June.

Now what would Janet Napolitano and her Department of Homeland Security (as well as those MIAC folks in Missouri) say? Well, we know what they'd say, and quite frankly we don't care.

(BTW: Good post about the DHS report here)

Pictures From Oathkeepers Rally 04-19-09

The Oathkeepers rally at Lexington Green was wonderful. Lots of wonderful and inspirational speakers were presented there thanks to Oathkeepers and Committees of Safety.

The Rally ended with 400 patriotic Americans, standing united (including some military and police) taking an oath to uphold the Constitution and mutually pledging our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.

You can see many pictures and video at their website.

Here are some of mine.

Do You Live/Travel In A Constitution Free Zone?

The ACLU says:
Using data provided by the U.S. Census Bureau, the ACLU has determined that nearly 2/3 of the entire US population (197.4 million people) live within 100 miles of the US land and coastal borders.

The government is assuming extraordinary powers to stop and search individuals within this zone. This is not just about the border: This " Constitution-Free Zone" includes most of the nation's largest metropolitan areas.

We urge you to call on Congress to hold hearings on and pass legislation to end these egregious violations of Americans' civil rights.

Read the ACLU fact sheet.

Seems to me that if you live there, you are not subject to the government's agencies and their rules either...perhaps that includes paying (or not paying) ones taxes.

Interesting stuff to ponder.

UPDATE: Great analysis and information from Elisheva at Ragamuffin Studies.

Hartford Tea Party Video - April 15 2009 Featuring Jim Vicevich

WTIC Radio Talk Show host, Jim Vicevich speaks to the crowd:

President Obama - meet the Board of Directors!

One Plan To Save Chris Dodd's Re-Election

Ok - I think I have this figured out - but only because I saw this played out before in CT with a sub naval base, and a plan by the Bush administration to cut naval bases, prior to Jodi Rell's re-election in 2006.

So here's the deal as I see it:

The Obama administration creates panic and worry in CT by threatening to cut the defense budget and stop the production of F-22 fighter planes. That big 'ole bad 'ole Bush holdover Defense Secretary Robert Gates is threatening to scuttle production of F-22 jets thereby potentially hurting jobs at Pratt & Whitney in Middletown, CT., which produces the jet's engines. Gates has called for production of F-22s to stop at the magic number of 187 jets. In a move to save some money, Gates has called for defense funding to be directed toward more practical military efforts and with jets costing $140 million a pop, he's come up with this plan to halt production.

Enter the poll beaten and scandal worn Senator Chris Dodd.

This gives Chris Dodd a perfect opportunity by the Obama administration to "come to the rescue" and "fight hard" for all those people who will be put out of work as a result of these "budget cuts". What timing.

Dodd's out there with his side-kick John Larson already lobbying, rallying forces and generally commiserating and coming to the aid of CT union workers at Pratt. How convenient for Senator Dodd to have this opportunity fall into his lap. Like this wasn't orchestrated. Does anyone honestly think that these F-22's will actually be cut? I will bet they won't, and it won't be because of anything Dodd does or says, although they will make it look that way.

But let's just follow this little play along:

Step 1: Dodd will go forth and make the fighting words and statements and act like he is advocating for the workers - it'll be very convincing.
"I'm here today to tell you that I'll do everything I can ... to make our case to our colleagues. That is where the final defense will be for this program," Dodd told members of the Hartford chapter of the International Association of Machinists.
Step 2: Dodd will say that he is going to fight that nasty Robert Gates and offer some real tough talk - ruffling his feathers like some rutting peacock.
But Dodd, along with Connecticut Rep. John Larson, met with union members Thursday to assure them they'd battle Gates over the issue. Dodd has fought before to save the F-22 program, under both Republican and Democratic administrations, and he said Thursday that party distinction doesn't matter to him at a time when his constituents are worried about keeping food on the table.

"I'd much rather have the secretary on my side, but we've beaten him in the past and we'll beat them this time as well," Dodd said.

The tough talk came after Dodd heard the concerns of the union.
Step 3: Dodd will of course get the union guys on his side against President Obama's threatened cuts. He'll make it look like he is going against the big guy for the sake of the little guy. What a Senator!
This puts Dodd, a powerful Democrat on Capitol Hill, in a tight spot. Though he is a President Obama ally in a position to be a key cheerleader for his budget proposals, Dodd's poll numbers are at historic lows with an election coming up next year.

Dodd sided with the workers and opposed the F-22 proposal early this week. He co-signed a letter to Obama with other members of the state delegation Tuesday objecting to Gates' proposal and calling for Congress to "fully fund" the F-22s.
You know the rest - the F-22's will eventfully be re-instated and Dodd will be the hero. All hail and re-elect Dodd.

I have always found it somewhat amusing that these anti-war Democrats who represent states that have defense industries, become such utter hypocrites and continually walk such a delicate line in Washington. They have to please their anti-war constituents and at the same time have to make sure they don't create massive unemployment in their own backyards. They vote to cut military spending and make lots of noise about bringing troops home, but they also have to make sure that the defense machine isn't shut down thereby creating thousands of lost jobs and angering unions across the state. It must be hard serving two opposing masters like that. And now - he has to walk lock step to support Obama's budget and defense plans to boot. In the end though, Dodd has to answer to the people that can vote him in or out of office:
"We're very concerned the job base for aerospace would take a blow on this," said Frank Larkin, spokesman for the International Association of Machinists.

He said ending F-22 production would threaten up to 3,000 jobs in Connecticut, and 25,000 nationwide, with many of those job losses affecting his union members. Though the jets are mainly produced in Texas and Georgia, the engines are produced at Pratt & Whitney in Middletown, Conn.
Just like we couldn't close the only naval base in the Northeast - it is unlikely that they would halt production of F-22's, especially since Dodd wrote a memo stating:
"Additional F-22 Raptors are critical to maintaining America's security in the face of new threats," the letter said. "Further, terminating the F-22 will seriously erode our industrial base, leaving our nation with significantly reduced capability to produce advanced fighter aircraft.

"One of our greatest national assets is our highly-skilled and innovative workforce, personified by the thousands of working men and women in Connecticut that maintain America's continued superiority in aerospace," the letter added.
I guess he really stated the case. What else are saviors for?

Oh please... it really annoys me that they play such political games with our national defense in order to help politicians stay in office.

You can bet anything that Dodd "will save the F-22" - win the hearts of union workers whose job relies on defense manufacturing and who no doubt will come out in droves to support this miserable Senator in the fight for his Senate seat, and all will be well.

Political theater at its best.

Chris Cassone sings his original song " Take Our Country Back" to a crowd of about 4,000 or more assembled on the North Steps of the State Capitol building..

The Oathkeepers

They will be mustering on the Lexington Green - Oath Keepers and Committees of Safety have just received confirmation that Lt. Commander Guy Cunningham (U.S. Navy, Ret.) will be a guest speaker at the rally on the Lexington, Massachusetts Green on April 19, 2009, where they will reaffirm their oaths.

Now that Janet Napolitano and the Department of Homeland Security has fired their first shot at veterans - calling them potential right wing extremists - this should be a very interesting rally.

After Tea Party - What YOU Can Do

Ø We need sound money, and our families need to be able to keep more of their wealth.

Ø We need government to stop raiding our paychecks so we can pay off our debts and accumulate wealth so we don’t have to be dependent on government.

Ø More money in individual's pockets should be put there by the individual - not by government.

Ø When businesses fail as a result of mismanagement, we need the free market to deal with that; not government.

Ø No more Robin Hood economics! Taking money from "the rich" to give to "the poor" is not government's function or right.

Here’s What YOU Can Do…

1. Get Involved: Join or support organizations that are fighting to:

a. Preserve and Restore our Constitution (ex. Campaign for Liberty, Go Galt , Oathkeepers, The Heritage Foundation, National Coalition for the Defense of American Sovereignty)

b. Bring Back Sound Money (ex. Committees of Safety, MISES Institute, End The Fed)

c. Protect our Liberties (ex. We The People Foundation, CATO Institute, Institute For Justice)

d. Demand that Elected Officials read the legislation that they vote on (ex. Downsize DC)

e. End Excessive Taxation and Wasteful Gov’t Spending (ex. Americans For Prosperity, Americans For Tax Reform, Citizens Against Gov’t Waste, Federation of CT Taxpayers Org.)

f. Protect our Privacy (ex. Electronic Frontier Foundation, CASPIAN)

g. Protect our Voting Rights (ex. CT Voters Count, Black Box Voting)

h. Support the effort to enforce existing US immigration laws (ex. Minuteman Project, Community Watchdog Project)

i. Protect Parental Rights (ex: National Home Education Legal Defense )

j. Support Candidates running in 2010 that believe in upholding the Constitution, smaller government, sound money, taxation reform, protection from eminent domain abuse, etc. etc.

2. Help to expose abuse of authority in government: Support media and organizations that:

a. Investigate abuse by government agencies.

b. Create Publicity when abuse is detected.

c. Educate the public about the constitutional problems inherent in the enforcement of government regulation.

d. Bring enforcement actions to punish those who abuse their authority and deter those who would follow in their footsteps.

3. Contact your legislators an voice your opinions:

It is very important to contact the members of the committees which the legislation is before (ex: Education and the Workforce Committee; the Ways and Means Committee; and the Committee on Finance, in the Senate) to express your views on any proposed bill, either by phone, writing, or both. It is important to contact the Congressmen and Senators from your home state, even if they do not sit on the committees that the legislation is before, so that they may influence other legislators on your behalf. Be as specific as you can as to why you believe the legislation should be defeated.

One bill pending: Ask them to support HR1207Audit the Federal Reserve

CT Tea Parties - April 15th

This Wednesday there will be Tea Parties state wide and nation wide to wake up our elected officials. We are telling them that raising taxes and spending without end will not get us out of our economic slump. We are not happy with Socialist proposals and we are certainly not happy with the way in which our US Constitution is being trampled.

By the way - contrary to what you will hear from Liberal and Socialist critics - this IS grass roots, and it is NOT being driven by entities such as FOX News or The National GOP.

The Modern Tea Party movement was started by Committees of Safety and Walter Reddy, and one was held on December 14, 2008, at Faneuil Hall in Boston to highlight freedom and liberty and sound money - Speakers were Edwin Vieira , John McManus, Katherine Albrecht, and Walter Reddy, to name a few. They are planning another great event in Lexington, MA, this Sunday. The origins of this type of movement could probably be found in the Campaign For Liberty and folks who are looking for the restoration of our republic.

After the December Faneuil Hall tea party event was held, we heard Rick Santelli on CNBC on the floor of the Chicago Exchange calling for a tea party in Chicago - and that is what touched a nerve in this country.

There is NO "right wing conspiracy" - people coming to these events are from all political leanings - they are Americans - and they are FED UP with bigger government and being treated like the government's ATM machine. They are fed up with high taxes and money going to bail out failed companies. They are FED UP with failed economic policies and they are demanding sound money and for the government and our elected officials to abide by our US Constitution. They are FED UP with the Federal Reserve and its shenanigans.

This April 15th - Tax Day - is just the beginning - there will be more protests coming - and a huge one is planned for July 4th

Tea Parties are already planned for Woodbury on April 25th and Clinton on May 9th and tea parties in Guilford, Branford, Cheshire as well as a ‘non-land’ event are being finalized.
